Support Project SEPIT

Our program has evolved from a local program funded only by its founding members to a non-profit organization officially recognized by the Indonesian Government. Our various programs are making a tangible difference but we need your help to continue to grow. Visit us at our page on GoFundMe of donate via PayPal using the links below to make any donation or if you want to learn more about how we will use your donations as well as the perks for higher level donors, scroll down and review the donation packages. Thanks!

We know times are tough around the world so we’ve made it easy for you to understand how your donations are put to use :

Donate $10

Share in Weekly Cleanup

This contributes to a portion of our WEEKLY CLEANUP. We partner with the elementary schools in our area to educate the children in a fun way about how to have a responsible relationship with plastic. Every weekend we walk through the local area to find and recover plastic waste. Your donation will help to provide food and beverages for over 100 children and volunteers as well as hauling the collected waste to an official landfill. Overall cost is around $100 USD.

Donate $50

Special Cleanup

This sponsors one entire SPECIAL CLEANUP, which can be a rainforest, river, temple or community center. Eight to ten volunteers will liberate a designated area from all waste. Food, beverages, and hauling the waste to an official landfill will be covered entirely by your donation.

Donate $100

Permaculture Garden

This sponsors our PERMACULTURE SHOWCASE GARDEN. We have already received a grant of $3000 USD by the Bank of Indonesia. We have already used up half of that grant for the startup building and operational costs within the first year of commencement. In order for it to reach completion and reach self-sustainability, we need further outside funding. This permaculture garden will also have a classroom area where members of the community, volunteers and guests can learn and share various permaculture techniques. The goal is to empower others to start their own permaculture gardens in order to produce their own foods. This ripples out by helping people save money, access local and organic foods, drastically reducing the costs associated with buying foods from a supermarket, as well as giving one the sense of pride that they can grow their own food.

Though we are located in Indonesia where the dollar stretches beyond what most Westerners can comprehend, our programs and projects need stable funding in order to continue the work.

We need funding to provide the school kids and volunteers who participate with food and drinks, and during that moment of unity, laughter and fun, Project SEPIT volunteers continue to chat with the kids about the basics of waste and plastic management and prevention.

For our dedicated volunteers, who are taking a day off from their day job thus lose money which can be going to their own families, so we greatly appreciate all of their selfless work.

We also have the cost of the truck driver and carting fees for the plastic and trash to be transported to a nearby waste management facility. Additionally at this time we are building a permaculture farm next to the Project SEPIT office in Tampaksiring where we provide workshops and other activities that teach people how to develop sustainable farming and gardening. In early 2020 we plan to expand our work to other villages in Bali and other parts of Indonesia. Our aim is to raise money for these operations through fundraising campaigns, sales of special fundraising items, and through special services like consultation for permaculture projects or environmental cleanups.
