Support Project SEPIT
Our program has evolved from a local program funded only by its founding members to a non-profit organization officially recognized by the Indonesian Government. Our various programs are making a tangible difference but we need your help to continue to grow. Though we are located in Indonesia where the dollar stretches beyond what most Westerners can comprehend, our programs and projects need stable funding in order to continue the work.
We need funding to provide the school kids and volunteers who participate with food and drinks, and during that moment of unity, laughter and fun, Project SEPIT volunteers continue to chat with the kids about the basics of waste and plastic management and prevention.
For our dedicated volunteers, who are taking a day off from their day job thus lose money which can be going to their own families, so we greatly appreciate all of their selfless work.
We also have the cost of the truck driver and carting fees for the plastic and trash to be transported to a nearby waste management facility. Additionally at this time we are building a permaculture farm next to the Project SEPIT office in Tampaksiring where we provide workshops and other activities that teach people how to develop sustainable farming and gardening. In early 2020 we plan to expand our work to other villages in Bali and other parts of Indonesia. Our aim is to raise money for these operations through fundraising campaigns, sales of special fundraising items, and through special services like consultation for permaculture projects or environmental cleanups.
